Addressing Key Challenges in Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reporting in the Forestry and Land Use Sector

LIFE LULUCF ATLAS is designed to enhance the management and accounting of carbon emissions and removals within the LULUCF sector (Land Use, Land-Use Change, and Forestry) in Bulgaria and Greece. It supports the achievement of EU objectives regarding greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions by 2030 and climate neutrality by 2050 through the development of more accurate, transparent, and science-based monitoring and reporting systems.

Habitat Sakar

We develop safe roosting and breeding refuges while restoring key habitats within Natura 2000 protected areas.

Habitat Danube

We improve the conservation status of threatened species and habitats in the Nikopol Plateau and Persina through targeted conservation actions and active engagement of the local community in safeguarding natural heritage.

For bats and people

In the Eastern Rhodopes, the natural habitats of bats are being restored, their roosting sites are being safeguarded, and local communities are being engaged to support the long-term conservation of biodiversity.
